Krista's Overnight and Short-Term Boarding

We Specialize in Overnight and Short-Term Boarding Daily, 3-Day, and Weekly Rates available

Krista's Boarding Stable is a small, private facility specializing in overnight and short-term accommodations for your horses. Choose from large, sheltered dry lots or roomy box stall and paddock combinations. We have an extensive 40-year background in horses, their care, and health, so you can be assured that your horse will be safe and comfortable in his temporary surroundings. We are conveniently located to major freeways - Interstate 5 and Highway 99. We are within driving distance to a number of equestrian-related facilities and attractions like the Northern California Horse Expo and Cal Expo, Western States Trail, Folsom Lake, and Murieta Equestrian Center.

Facility and Amenities

Facilities include a lighted, 85' by 200' multidiscipline, outdoor arena with a combination of arena-grade sand and shredded rubber footing, a 60' foot round pen, and a deluxe wash rack. We are located in Rio Linda and can be reached at 916-991-2241 or 916-768-5612.

We are a helmet mandated facility.

We require SEI approved helmets and boots with 1/2" heels while riding at all times at our facility regardless of age or riding experience. We know that helmets cannot prevent injuries or head trauma in all cases, but strongly believe they can reduce susceptibility of severe head trauma when accidents occur. Also, if your helmet has been compromised in anyway, you'd be best to get a new one immediately.

About Us

Krista's Boarding and Riding Stable has strived to provide horse owners and enthusiasts with a friendly and community-oriented facility to care for their horses since 2002.

Krista Christian has been a horse lover and equestrian for over 43 years. She has participated in a variety of equine disciplines and continuously upgrades her knowledge of these magnificent animals having taken courses in Equine Science, Equine Health, and Farrier Science. She aims to be a knowledgeable resource for guests and caretaker for their horses. She is very active in the horse community, is a competitive, amateur dressage rider, and is an active Member in the Arabian Horse Association, and the California Dressage Society.

Margarita Martinez has channeled her energy in the grounds upkeep and maintenance of the stable. She is our primary tractor driver and coordinates most of the maintenance projects, and ranch improvements.

We should also acknowledge long-time boarder, Audrey Green, who lives closeby and assists us with many of the ranch operations. Thank you Audrey for your loyal patronage and being a part of our close-knit community.
